Abstract

The objective of this work is to highlight before the scientific community the importance of information technologies and wireless communication, in the social interaction among the citizens of Cantón Jipijapa. This is born from the needs of users and tourists who visit the land terminal "Xipixapa" every day. The methodology used in this research was qualitative and quantitative, applying the theoretical method of induction-deduction, also used surveys that were taken to the people who visit the place, where it was possible to verify the low level in the use of technology. information. The results show the low level of quality of voice and data communication, due to a poor wireless system that provides a free communication service. The requirements for the design of the wireless communication system were determined according to the needs of the users, valuing the security and the connection time. The aspects that are considered for the design of the communication system were established from the results obtained from the research, taking into account the technology to be used and compatibility with all the systems and equipment, allowing greater ease for future network extensions. without leaving gaps between old and new versions. It concludes implemented a wireless system with Mikrotik technology, contributing directly in the transmission of voice and data to the users of the terrestrial terminal
