Peer review policies
The Editorial Board will only accept articles that comply with scientific rigor, the veracity of the origin of the scientific production and the topicality of the content of the article in question.
Before the publication of each article, an in-depth evaluation of the content is carried out, attended by referees specialized in the subject of the manuscript. This process is carried out according to the “double blind” arbitration masking where the author is never informed of the name of the evaluator, and in the same way, the evaluator under no circumstances knows the name of the author of the article or essay to evaluate. , which guarantees the transparency, anonymity and impartiality of the activity.
The aspects to take into account are the following:
- The correspondence of the title of the article with the abstract, problem, objective and the content of the work.
- Evaluation of the summary (if the problem, objective, methods, solution and results are mentioned).
- The topic and its current status in the national and international context.
- Treatment of content: scientificity, coherence and clarity in the development of the content.
- Scientific novelty.
- Scientific style and writing.
- Validity of the conclusions.
- The work with the citations and bibliography used.
- Other considerations of the evaluator.
The result of the arbitration of an article or essay is classified according to three categories: ACCEPT, MODIFY and REJECT, although the Editorial Board of the Journal also has the right to reject articles that do not comply with the established norms. The authors of the articles located in the MODIFY category have a period of six (6) months to attend to the suggestions made, counted from the date of revision. In case of exceeding this time, the Editorial Board has the right to grant the category of REJECTED.
