Abstract

The research is about of the access network planning in the Manzanillo municipality, Cuba, to achieve synergy between all the access technologies approved by ETECSA. Research goals is to provide a base document for the access network deployment in this municipality, with a comprehensive approach. To this end, the institutions and services in the study area that require broadband connectivity were identified, such as education, health, businesses, businesses and homes, access technologies were analyzed and the fiber optic infrastructure necessary to support broadband services in the region was proposed. Telecommunication network development contributes to the computerization program of Cuban society, by providing access to broadband in the Manzanillo municipality, to improve connectivity and service to the population and local institutions.
